Shopping around? Good.

Ask these 11 questions before you book any photo booth.

Photo booth prices can look similar until you add up what's actually included. Ask every company these questions - including us - and compare the answers side by side.

How many hours does that price actually include?

Why ask

Many companies advertise a price per hour, or an intro price for just 90 minutes. Ask for the total for the time you actually need.

Encore's answer

Classic includes 3 full hours for $699 before tax. Set-up and teardown happen outside your hours.

Are prints included - for everyone in the photo?

Why ask

Many companies advertise their lowest price for digital only, with no prints. Others print one copy per group, so extra copies become an upgrade.

Encore's answer

Yes. Every package includes prints, and everyone in the photo gets their own.

Will I pay extra to pause the booth during dinner and speeches?

Why ask

Some companies charge an idle fee on top of your hours whenever the booth is paused.

Encore's answer

Never. There are no idle fees. We'll help you time your booth hours for when your guests are ready to party - usually right after dinner. Want the booth open during cocktails too? Add an hour for $119.

Are the backdrop and props included?

Why ask

Backdrops and prop kits are common add-on charges.

Encore's answer

Yes, in every package. Classic adds the full prop collection and premium backdrops, including florals. Complete adds premium props, backdrops and curtains.

Is the photo design personalised for my event?

Why ask

Some companies use a generic template, or charge a design fee to add your names and date.

Encore's answer

Every package includes a print template and welcome screen personalised with your names or logo, date and colours. Complete includes a fully custom design.

Is someone running the booth the whole time?

Why ask

Some rentals are drop-off only, or charge extra for an attendant.

Encore's answer

Always. An on-site attendant is included in every package, from set-up to teardown.

What happens if something breaks?

Why ask

Smaller operators often have one of everything, so a jammed printer or dead tablet can end the night.

Encore's answer

We run a fleet of booths, so backup equipment is always ready if we need it, and our attendants are trained to troubleshoot on the spot.

Are you insured?

Why ask

Many venues require vendors to carry liability insurance. Not every booth rental does.

Encore's answer

Yes. Encore carries commercial liability insurance, and we can send a certificate of insurance to your venue.

What will the photos actually look like?

Why ask

Lighting makes the biggest difference between a great photo and a dark, grainy one.

Encore's answer

Every Encore booth uses studio lighting that flatters everyone in the frame, not just the person in front.

Is travel extra?

Why ask

Travel fees are often left out of the first quote and added later.

Encore's answer

Travel is free in Winnipeg and nearby communities just outside the city. Further out, it's calculated at checkout, so you see your full price before you pay.

Do I need a call or a custom quote to get a price?

Why ask

Many companies need an inquiry form, a phone call and a custom quote before you know the real cost.

Encore's answer

No. After 120+ events, we know what makes a photo booth great, so we've built it into three clear packages. Pick one, check your date and hold it online in about a minute. We confirm within 24 hours, usually within a few.

Add it up

When you get a quote, check whether it covers each of these. With Encore Classic, $699 before tax covers all of them.
